Report: Creighton G Pop Isaacs to have hip surgery, miss rest of season

Creighton guard Pop Isaacs is expected to undergo surgery to address a lingering hip problem and sit out the rest of the season, The Field of 68 reported Saturday.
A transfer from Texas Tech, Isaacs had offseason hip surgery. The Field of 68 reported Isaacs continued to experience pain, and his surgeon recommended the procedure now.
The junior has played in eight games (all starts) for the Bluejays (6-3), averaging 16.3 points in 31.6 minutes per game. He has averages of 4.8 rebounds and 3.9 assists.
In a 76-63 win over No. 1 Kansas on Wednesday, Isaacs scored a game-high 27 points of 10-of-15 shooting, including six 3-pointers.
Last season with Texas Tech, Isaacs started all 34 games for the Red Raiders and averaged 15.8 points in 32.8 minutes per game.
